Quality and efficiency remain central throughout our production, harvesting, and shipping process. Plants are carefully removed from containers by experienced staff, packaged in easy-to-count bundles, and placed in durable, weather-resistant boxes. Each order is clearly labeled and stored in a cooler to help maintain plant health prior to delivery.
Whether shipped via UPS or delivered directly by our team, plants arrive ready for immediate installation—helping restoration crews save valuable time in the field.

Order Process
Our ordering process consists of four steps: Place Your Order, Order Confirmation, Delivery & Receipt, and Invoice & Payment.
NOTE: Many species sell out before the spring planting season, so we recommend reviewing current availability and submitting orders as early as possible.
1. Place Your Order
Begin by reviewing our Availability & Pricing List for currently offered species, container sizes, and pricing.

If needed, invoices can be issued before pickup or delivery to accommodate customer requirements.
We accept payment by check, money order, cash, or credit/debit card. If paying by card, simply use the secure payment link included in your emailed invoice.
If your organization is tax-exempt, please provide the appropriate exemption documentation before invoicing.

Container Sizes
Most container-grown plants at Wildlife Habitat Nursery are produced in Styroblock™ containers featuring deep, tube-like cavities that promote healthy root development. Container sizes are based on cavity volume and correspond to the size of the root plug produced.
Container sizes currently offered include:
- 10 cubic inch Plug
- 20 cubic inch Plug
- One Gallon (Short)
- One Gallon (Tall)
- 2 Gallon (Tall)
- 3 Gallon (Tall)
- 5 Gallon (Short)
- 5 Gallon (Tall)
- 8 Gallon
Plant height and top growth vary by species, growing conditions, and container size. Larger containers generally produce greater top growth while maintaining a healthy root-to-shoot ratio for successful establishment after planting.
Not all species are available in every container size. Available sizes vary by species and current inventory. Please refer to the Availability & Pricing List for current offerings.

Delivery & Pickup
Prior to shipment, all plants are carefully sorted, inspected, cleaned, and labeled to ensure every order meets our quality standards.
Tall-One containerized plants are transported using our custom-designed portable pallet system, engineered for efficient handling and safe delivery. Each pallet is forklift-compatible and designed to fit on trailers or in the bed of most pickup trucks, providing flexibility for projects of any size. During transport, plants are protected with either a canopy or shade tarp to minimize stress and maintain plant quality until they reach your project site.

Whenever possible, we personally deliver orders to ensure plants arrive in excellent condition. Smaller orders can also be shipped via UPS. Because our plants are container-grown, your planting crew can simply unpack them and begin planting—there’s no need to separate plugs, discard damaged plants, or return containers. This saves valuable time while ensuring your project starts with healthy, high-quality stock.

Our Commitment to You
We take pride in producing high-quality native plants and stand behind the products we offer. If you are not completely satisfied with your order upon arrival, please contact us immediately. Unused materials may be returned, insured, within 24 hours of receipt for exchange or refund approval.
